USE INSTRUCTION

1. This grill mats cannot be exposed to an open flame and need to be at least five inches from a direct heat source, as with any nonstick cookware. This is not a shortcoming of the product. It’s simple chemistry. PTFE coating will disintegrate at higher temperatures (626˚F).

2. Heat your grill around 350 ˚F, then position your mats on the grill, give them a light coat of oil spray and you’re ready to go!

3. Never use metal grill utensils on your barbecue grill mats. Silicone-tipped tools are recommended.

4. Store grills mats in the box after they are completely dry. It will protect the PTFE coating from getting scratched.

HOW TO CLEAN

1. Before first use, remove the grill mats from their box and wash them thoroughly with soap and water to remove any residue left over from manufacturing and packing. Or, if you prefer, you can put them in the dishwasher – on the top rack only.

2. When washing grill mats by hand be sure NEVER to use any scratch pads or abrasive cleaners. It’s not necessary and will damage the PTFE coating.

3. If you’ve been grilling food that is particularly messy and you let it dry on the PTFE sheet, you can soak it for a while in soapy water and it’ll wipe clean easily. If you’ve got baked-on sauces you might need to rub a bit with your sponge or soft cloth, but don’t succumb to the temptation to use the scratch pad.
